Service Desk Specialist (Burnaby)

The Position
- We are looking for a Service Desk Specialist. Under the supervision of our Service Desk Supervisor, you will be responsible for: Ensuring the proper setup and operation of our clients’ servers, workstations and other equipment.
- Ensuring the proper setup and operation of our clients’ MS Terminal Services, Active Directory, SharePoint Portal Server, SQL Server and Exchange Server systems.
- Ensuring the proper setup ad operation of our clients’ Linux systems (DNS, DHCP, LDAP, Kerberos, NFS, Samba, CUPS, Apache, MySQL)
- Assist in other duties involving computer and network setup and operation.
You must be able to work non-office hours when clients require servicing off-hours, and share the on-call after-hours support duties with other staff. Though most of the work will be performed from our office in Burnaby, some travel throughout the Lower Mainland will be required.
Requirements
- Microsoft certification (MCITP) required
- Linux certification (RHCE) required
- Cisco certification (CCNA) preferred
- Good analysis skills
- Excellent interpersonal/communication skills
- Pleasant and professional personality
- A personality that enjoys detail and precision
- Fluent English
- University or College degree
- Own an automobile and BC driver’s license
