A high tech company located in Richmond is looking for a Human Resources and Compensation Advisor to join their busy, growing HR team.

The HR/Compensation Advisor will be responsible for providing general human resources support including recruitment, compensation analysis and supporting all areas of Human Resources operational and planning activities.

The duties and responsibilities of this role include:

•Providing general human resources guidance and coaching to managers to support the achievement of business objectives

•Canadian recruiting

•Assisting in the development of HR strategy, policy and procedures

•Managing employee communications including the HR information on the company intranet site, and content of Careers section on website

•Managing administration of performance management

•Participating in and analyzing salary survey results, monitoring the salary market movement and trends and recommending revisions the current compensation plan

•Developing job descriptions, assigning job classification levels and assessing appropriate compensation level

•Supporting the annual salary review process, streamlining the process for compensation reporting, conducting analysis of employees’ total rewards packages, creating statements and participating in the communication process

•Maintaining HR records and website for job descriptions and other compensation related information

•Leading Canadian social committee and safety committee meetings

•Other related project work as required.
The successful candidate will have the following skills, experience and attributes:

•3-5 years HR Advisor level experience with a compensation focus

•University degree in related discipline required (business or human resources management)

•Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office package, including Word, Outlook & PowerPoint, and outstanding skills in Excel, including V-Lookup and pivot tables

•Solid understanding of JD Edwards and/or other HRIS systems

•Attention to detail and demonstrated problem-solving competency

•Well developed organizational skills and proven ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced and changing environment

•Self-motivated and independent work ethic

•Excellent communication skills (oral and written) along with excellent inter-personal skills and the ability to interact at all levels of an organization

•Tact, diplomacy and the ability to maintain confidentiality

•Superior customer service focus and commitment to a “team”

•CHRP designation is an asset
