Position Summary:The Advisor| HR (Projects) works within the HR team in the planning, development and the efficient delivery of specific HR programs, policies, and activities that support functional objectives. The position administers the successful implementation of HR initiatives by contributing in the development, dissemination, and co-ordination of associated activities. The position may also be called upon to support other day-to-day HR activities within HD or an associated company/project.
Through active participation ensure the Companyfs activities adhere to the Responsible Mineral Development philosophy. Implement, enforce and support the highest standards of health, safety & environmental management, local socio]economic interaction & corporate conduct.
Key Result Areas & Specific Responsibilities:
HR Project Delivery:
Assist in the integration and delivery of all core HR systems and related processes.
Leads the seamless, efficient delivery of specific HR programs and services. Helps to prioritize, develop and refine requirements.
Assist with evaluation and development of a project plan and participate in the planning and formulation of design alternatives and solutions.
Recommends enhancements to procedures as they are uncovered during project management opportunities.
Applies knowledge and data to resolve process issues/ problems.
Influences and communicates with stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed successfully.
Ensures project delivery on time and on budget.
HRIS integration:
Identify data points and critical data required to be mapped into the new HRIS system and manage the transition of data.
Perform analysis, refinement, and supporting documentation of human resource business processes.
Analyze current day-to-day information needs for various human resources functions.
Design and generate standard reports from a human resource information system (HRIS).
Generate, on request, customized HRIS reports for special projects.
Ensures data integrity of the HRIS database and other HR systems.
Develop and document consistent and appropriate HRIS structures & processes.
Train HR users in the proper application of HRIS process and other data entry conventions.
Other:
Provide hands-on support for "ad hoc" and scheduled requests for HR-related activities.
Participate with the continuous improvement of HR Systems processes and procedures.
Support the design and implementation of proper internal controls of HR systems for SOX and other compliance.
Keeps current on HR and industry issues.
Participate and contribute in special projects and other related duties as required.
Position Requirements: Qualifications, Skills & Experience.
Bachelorfs degree or equivalent; certification preferred
Requires 3+ years of HR Generalist experience, including understanding of HR principles and practices.
Broad understanding of HR systems
Project management exposure.
Knowledge of labor and employment laws and current trends and all applicable labor, pay, benefits laws and regulations
Advanced skills in Word, Excel, Power Point
Characteristics &/or Physical requirements.
Ability to handle confidential information.
Excellent organizing, planning, and time management skills
Ability to multi task in a fast paced environment
Strong attention to detail
Analytical
Strong communication (oral and written) and presentation skills
Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with all levels of management
